Pair of Vintage Solid English Oak Hall Chairs - Art Deco Church Altar Chairs

This stunning pair of oak hall chairs originate from the now closed Spurgeon’s College, the Baptist theological college in South London. Made from solid English oak, both chairs have their original dedication plates, dated 1945 & 1955.

We've deep cleaned the wood, oiled it and finished with a layer of clear furniture wax to let the beauty of the wood come through.

There are some minor knocks on some edges and legs, and a scratch on the top bar - as to be expected with pieces of this age. Please see the photos for more details and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. 

Please note the chair with the dedication plate for Fanny Butcher has a mark on the chair seat & the back rest has a small 1-2mm gap - please see the photos.

 - seat height from floor 47cm
