Vintage French Pain / Baguette Rattan / Wicker Tall Cylindrical Basket

A rare find - a beautiful example of a vintage rattan/wicker basket that would often be found in boulangeries. The wicker basket has been gently cleaned and any loose sections repaired. Included with the basket is the original calico fabric insert embroidered with the word 'pain'.

The basket measures 50cm tall, with a diameter of 24cm. The width of the front opening is approx 14cm wide. The basket could probably hold 5-6 baguettes.

(The baguettes shown in the photo are for illustrative purposes only, are not included with the basket, we can confirm that they were delicious though...)
