Victorian Mahogany Display Bookcase Apothecary Lockable Cabinet w/ Glazed Door

From the large glazed lockable door to the barley twist detailing, this display cabinet is a stunning example of Victorian design and workmanship. 

The display cabinet is solid and true and may have previously sat on top of a bureau or another piece - it could again, or could be free standing - either way we would recommend to attach the cabinet to the wall with mirror plates #safetyfirst.

As to be expected with a piece of this age - the cabinet has various knocks and bumps and developed a wonderful rich patina.

The shelves are fixed and have, though somewhat faded, their original velvet lining. At the base of the cabinet there are some small missing side panels/supports. Please see the photos for more details and don't hesitate to ask of you need more information.

The cabinet measures;

 - height 109.5cm

 - width at widest point 89.5cm

 - depth at deepest point 29cm

 - depth when door fully open 103cm

The fixed shelves are all 15.5cm deep and 77cm wide... the height of each shelf, from the top shelf down to the bottom shelf measure; 12.5cm, 16cm, 16cm, 10.5cm & 20cm
