Pair of Vintage CAL-STYLE Directors Chairs dated 1984

Oh these are special - and a super rare find. 

One of these magnificent directors chairs has the original makers labels on its base showing it is a genuine CAL-STYLE Furniture piece and is dated October 31 1984. This style has been attributed to the designer Milo Baughman.

The chairs are solid and true and have been deep cleaned, polished, buffed and waxed, with the arms, clean, lightly sanded and Danish-oiled to bring back the beautiful grain in the wood - these chairs are ready to be enjoyed again.

Points to note;
 - there is some discolouration in the vinyl - it is a mottled grey tone, but there is some gentle yellowing in places, though the vinyl moves and flexes with ease as intended. (The cotton canvas base on the seat remains taught and true as it would have been when the chairs were made.)
 - some of the gold paint has flaked off from the metal frame resulting in the most glorious patina, there are also light surface scratches as to be expected with pieces of this age - please see the photos for more details
