Mid Century Teak Beaver & Tapley 33 Floating Bureau / Desk / Cabinet

A stunning wall mounted bureau / fall down front desk / cabinet in great condition for its age, designed by Robert Heritage for Beaver & Tapley, a British furniture company who in the 1960s & 1970s pioneered floating and modular furniture that could be wall-mounted.

The bureau / cabinet has been deep cleaned, oiled and waxed and is ready to get to work again. Inside, there is a moveable shelf/drawer which can slide from slide to side. The cabinet is supplied with its original Tapley 33 metal wall-mounting bracket (which has some historical paint on it, which won't be visible once the unit mounted).

Behind the moveable inner shelf there is the original lighting system where the cabinet could be wired in to be illuminated (though the cable was cut when the cabinet was removed from its previous home); we recommend seeking advice from a qualified electrician about the best way to re-install the lighting for todays world. #healthandsafety
