Mid Century Rare Jens Risom by Younger, Walnut Sideboard / Cabinet / Credenza

This sideboard / cabinet / credenza is a rare find.

Jens Risom was a Danish-American designer who collaborated with London based Cabinet makers A. Younger Ltd during the 1960s. Risom's minimalist and functional aesthetic brought a new more modern influence to the brand and together they produced a line of high end furniture often using Walnut & Afromosia woods; their sideboards, such as this one, often featured the oval steel-backed handles gave them a distinctive elevated finish.

The cabinet features a door compartment which has a fixed shelf within, and three drawers, the top drawer has a removable divider.

This cabinet is solid and true, it has been gently cleaned, oiled and buffed and is ready to be very fabulous again somewhere new.
Please note the following;

 - there is some slight sun bleaching on the top of the unit where items have 'sat' for sometime... 

 - there is also a small flash of a birthmark on the right hand side of the top - this flash is within the original veneer - it can be seen more clearly in the photo with the top drawer open.

 - There are also a few knocks and bump within the piece - as to be expected with a piece of this fine vintage - please see the photos for more details and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
