Mid Century Bureau / Writing Desk - formally property issued to the RAF

Mid Century Oak Bureau / Writing Desk, Brass Handles - with Air Ministry embossing - indicating this was government property issued to the RAF

The oak bureau has a two over two drawer configuration, with integrated shelf supports that automatically pull out when the 'flap' is opened. Inside, there is leather topped desk and interior shelving department.

The bureau is supplied with the key for the main compartment, and key for one of the top drawers - all locks are in working order.

The bureau has been gently cleaned and waxed, and is in excellent condition for its age, though there are a few small signs of wear, where are some light scratches and a few bumps and knocks as to be expected, there are also a few ink marks in the drawers and small signs of use - please see the photos for more details and don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

On the reverse of the bureau is printed that it was made in July of 1961 - it also has a Crown with AM embossed below it - this indicates that this bureau was likely to have been government property issued to the RAF.

 - depth 42cm
 - depth of bureau when flap down 69cm
 - height of flap from floor when open - 75cm

The bureau can be collected from N8 - North London, delivered for free within 3 miles of N8, delivered in Greater London for £30, London Congestion Zone £45, or delivered nationally by fully insured courier for £80.
