French Rococo-Style Secretaire / Bureau / Writing Desk with Intricate Parquetry

This is a super pretty secretaire/writing desk with the most beautiful detailing and finishes.
The writing desk has been gently cleaned, oiled and waxed and is ready for your novel to begin to be written*.
A sticker on the base with just the date remaining dates this piece as being made/finished on 29 August (?) 1963.
(*a good plan, no?)

The writing desk is solid and true, the lock works and all nine shelves run smoothly. The hinges of the pull down flap also are smooth - the flap is secured by the front drawers being opened for the flap to rest upon. There are some knocks, bumps and light scratches on the desk, as to be expected with a piece of this age - though all of the parquetry remains intact and as beautiful - please see the photos for more details and don't hesitate to ask if you need additional information.
