Antique Edwardian Astragal Glazed Front Lockable Cabinet with Adjustable Shelves

This is a stunning free-standing display bookcase / China cabinet with glazed doors - we believe it to made from oak which has a developed glorious warm patina over time. (This type of bookcase/cabinet is often known as astragal-glazed due to the geometric and crisscrossing bars, astragals, within the glass doors.)

The lockable cabinet is solid and true, and has been gently cleaned and oiled and is ready for service again...

Some points to note;

 - on the left hand side (as you look at the piece) there are knocks and scratches on the side panel

 - around the top, there is a small piece of the insert/detailing missing on the left hand side

 - there are some small dents and knocks on the cabinet as to be expected on a piece of this age

 - the three internal shelves are adjustable - the shelves have some marks and areas where the original varnish has come away

The cabinet / bookcase measures;

 - height 130.5cm

 - width at widest point at the base/legs 92.5cm

 - depth at deepest point 30cm

 - clearance from floor to base of cabinet 12cm

 - the shelves measure width 86.5cm with the depth of the shelves 23.5cm

The cabinet can be collected from E10 - East London, or it can be sent sent nationally via fully insured courier for £95.
