This is a beautiful example of an Arts & Craft movement lamp table with trefoil carvings around the lower top.
Made from oak it has a rich deep patina - the table has been loved and well used; the top and lower shelf sit on gently splayed legs.

The table has been deep cleaned, oiled and waxed - it's solid and true - adding to its fabulous character please note;
 - there are some light scratches and marks as to be expected with a piece of this age
 - the top has a slight warp on one side.

The KPAOLI name, printed as it is on this material, could be an an identification marker of a high-end estate or a private collector... or that the K is a specific category prefix, and the surname of the owner was Paoli... it's a bit of a mystery, but rather wonderful too.
