A Pair of Friso Kramer for Ahrend 'Revolt' White High Gloss Dining Chairs
A stunning pair of white high gloss and tubular steel dining chairs by Frisco Kramer - after being discontinued for a number of years, Ahrend reintroduced the Revolt chair in 2004.
A museum curator once said of Friso Kramer that he was one of the few Dutch designers who came up with really new solutions. When he developed the Revolt using unconventional steel, the chair unleashed a revolution. Light, slender and indestructible, he modernised the post-war Netherlands. Not only was the chair a breakthrough in the field of design, it was also one of the first mass produced items of furniture.
The chairs have been deep-cleaned, waxed and polished.
The chairs do have some signs of wear - there are some some light surface scratches, and on one of the chair seats there are some deeper scratches - please see photos for more details.
The chairs measure;
The overall chair height is 82.5cm, the seat height is 46.5cm, seat width 47cm and a seat depth of 44cm.
The chairs can of course be collected from N8, North London, I am happy to deliver up to 3 miles from N8 for free, Greater London for £20, or they can be sent via national courier for £55.
