2 x Copeland Spode's Blue Italian Square Side Plates - 16cm, dated July 32
The blue and white designs which are made famous by the original Spode earthenware patterns are still produced today and used to be processed by the blue under the glaze printing on earthenware from hand engraved copper plates.
Blue Italian has featured around the world since 1816, with the detailed 18th century Imari Oriental border and characterful scene inspired by the Italian countryside.
The side plates are a rare find and in excellent condition - there are some very light scratches within the surfaces of the plates expected of the age.
On the reverse on the plates the date stamps vary in clarity as they were stamped by hand - the clearest bowl is dated S54 - which indicates that it was made in July 32.
The plates measures approx 14.8cm x 1.3cm.
The dishes can be collected in person from N8, North London, or sent via First Class Royal Mail.
