Metal Work; new (old) furniture & home accessories

As daylight hours are getting shorter (so damn fast) and the air increasingly damp we've turned our attention to various metal items.

Whether it was growing up watching films where folk lived in New York Loft apartments, we've always been drawn to industrial / utility items that can be mixed in with softer furnishings and elements; this vintage grey metal locker being a case in point.
Standing 175cm tall, with four shelves; its been a working piece with bumps and knocks... now deep cleaned, polished and waxed and ready to work again.

Jacket upgrades into coats is definitely being discussed in our household; we found these vintage 1950/60s Sputnik hooks recently, they would be great for coats, or even towels in the bathroom... there are three separate sets of three hooks.

We have a growing collection of both metal and wooden coat hook/racks - take a look here to see what we currently have.

Sometimes we have projects that rumble on, they are picked up / put down depending on weather or other things that suddenly take precedent.
This splendid vintage soviet era light by by Elektrosvit of Czechoslovakia black enamel light had been 'lovingly upcycled' by its previous owner. Over a period of time we've taken it back to its roots, added fabric flex cord, chain and hooks and its now ready to shine again.

Absolutely filthy.
Was the state that these super-rare CAL-STYLE Furniture chairs were in when we acquired them. Loved, but not taken quite as good care of perhaps. Made in California they're dated 1984. Deep, deep cleaned, oiled, buffed and ready once again for action.
The metal frames are gold (ish), with grey (ish) vinyl seats; the chairs are solid, true and comfy, and very special.
